The MGM Shotgun Breach Trainer was invented by one of the KASOTC (Jordan) Instructors. The object is to allow you to effectively do a LOT of training without a lot of down time while you set up for the next guy. The system is SUPER easy to use and maintain, and VERY economical to set up for the next class. Instructors who know what they are doing can have each person of a 15 man team get 16 legitimate shotgun breach shots off in less than 2 hours, and be set up for the next 15 shooters in less than 30 minutes.
The concept is simple, and MGM durable. We have built a steel frame with a good face, set up to receive a plywood insert that is 12” square. The insert has a single “dummy” door knob attached in the center of it. The student comes in, sets up, and makes the first shot. The instructor then slides the insert up, rotates it 90 degrees, and slides it back into the slot. Just that fast, you are ready to do it again. BUT, we have 4 inserts in place, so the shooter can make 4 shots with no reset delay. Then rotate 4 inserts at the same time and do it again. About 30 seconds later.
The inserts are a consumable. We sell them, but if you want to cut them yourself, and if you use OSB sheet, current price will be about $.40 per insert. You get 4 shots on each insert. If your guys don’t get crazy and shoot one of them, the dummy door knobs should last indefinitely.
When you purchase this from MGM, you get one set of inserts with door knobs on them, all the frame, the stand, and the base.
