This target as are all of our 3/8″ HEXALLOY 550 steel is rifle rated too making it another versatile MGM product for handgun, rifle and shotgun use. Of course, it’s made in America!
The 8 inch target is one of the few targets that have been used at many of the Cowboy Action competitions, for shotgun targets. It comes standard with the “foot flag” that so many people shooting light loads have grown to hate it! The principle is, when you hit the target solidly, it goes down and the foot flag comes up. The ‘sheriff’ can see a flash of whatever bright color you choose to paint the bottom of the foot with and confirm it was a good hit. If he doesn’t see the color, it wasn’t a good hit, and the cowboy gets dinged for a miss – No real cowboys were shooting light loads!

These are my favorite training targets for 3 gun. I can train with rifle, pistol and shotgun and not have to run down range to reset. Great targets and very durable.

I’m very pleased with this auto-popper. The craftsmanship and materials used are top notch. I recently shot at the target from 15-100 yards using .22LR, 9mm, .223, and .308. .22 and 9mm handgun rounds don’t really move the target due to it’s heavy spring, but make a nice sound when hit. Larger calibers definitely made the target fall and automatically pop back up. I highly recommend the add-on sniper legs to improve stability and raise the target off the ground. If you’re looking for a quality auto-popper that holds up when hit with larger calibers then this is the one for you.
