Our ingenious 22 Rimfire Auto-Popper® – Various Shapes also comes in a lighter weight version for use with .22 caliber rimfire firearms. This target is designed the same as our standard Auto-Popper®, but has a lightweight spring that allows the target to react to the .22 bullet. The auto-resetting target itself is 1/4″ AR400 steel. The .22 Auto-Popper® is available in the standard Pepper Popper shape, Colt Speed Plate shape and a ground squirrel shape. These targets are great for responsible kids of all ages. Here’s a video we did of one being shot with .22 pistol and rifle at about 15y.

Pepper Popper Plate – Target is 16″ Tall from bottom of legs, plate is 12″ tall, center circle approximately 4″ across (also known as a standard plate, this is the one that looks like a cross)
Hex Colt Speed Plate – Target is 16″ Tall from bottom of legs, plate is 12″ tall, center hexagon is approximately 5 3/4″ across (this is the one that looks like an ice cream cone shape)
Squirrel Plate – Target is 16″ Tall from bottom of legs, plate is 11 1/2″ tall, target is approximately 4 to 5″ across

I’m very happy with the the 22 Rimfire Auto-Popper. It automatically comes with Sniper Legs to improve stability. The target falls and automatically pops back up with ease. I took one shot at the target with a 9mm handgun from 15 yards just to see what happens. The target fell over backward as it isn’t rated for anything larger than .22LR. The 9mm round barely made a mark on the AR400 steel which speaks to MGM Targets build quality. I’m confident this target will hold up for years to come.
