If you want realistic training for targets behind hard cover, the MGM Falling Man VATA Target is the solution. Greg Lapin and Destin Mouts of the VATA Group designed this target to replicate training for real world situations. In some situations, you may only have a small target available. When this happens you have to shoot for center of mass of whatever target is presented.
3/8″ HEXALLOY 550 steel target plate, all steel frame and hinge mechanism. Sized for virtually any paper or cardboard target 18 inches or wider.
Hit the ‘leg’ target to activate and drop the torso portion to the ground. After you’ve hit the “leg target” the torso’s “A” zones with vital area are exposed and you can put rounds into it to neutralize the threat as needed. This situation plays out more often than you may think and specialized training can make the difference.

“I recently saw this on MGM Targets and saw a lot of training potential with it. Since it arrived at Kai Tac Defensive Solutions, it has been put through its paces in numerous hostage and pin down scenarios.
The system works just as shown, and is an invaluable addition to our target set up.
If there is one thing I would change, I would like to see the piece you shoot to be shaped like a boot or shoe at the bottom, shooters new to this target, sometimes have difficulty discriminating what it is they should shoot.
I highly recommend this VATA falling man target, and look forward to purchasing the Attack Target next.
