The Aerial Engagement Target (AET) was co-developed with Tacflow Academy. Tacflow specializes in sniper training and other training disciplines. We had previously worked with Mark Lang (Ret. Dallas SWAT) and Director of Sniper Training on the MGM Stadium Bullet Trap. In 2008 Mark and his team of sniper instructors developed a formal training program for snipers that deploy at public venues and large-scale events. To that end we conceived and invented the Stadium Bullet Trap. The Stadium Bullet Trap is used exclusively in Tacflow Academy’s live fire sniper training courses held at public venues in the United States and Canada.
The next evolution for high angle sniper training is shooting from a moving helicopter. Once again we teamed up with Tacflow Academy and Lead Instructor Jair Brown (Las Vegas Metro SWAT) to develop a purpose made 3-dimensional steel target for aerial shooting. The Aerial Engagement Target (AET) enables cutting edge training to be conducted by law enforcement agencies that have aerial platform operation programs.
The unique shape of this steel target allows the shooter to engage with rifle fire from a moving helicopter every angle possible to include 360 degrees. The impact plates are constructed of 1/4″ AR550 and can withstand up to .300 WIN MAG. The proprietary pivot point allows the target to physically react to projectile impact regardless of shooter location. In addition the AET is manufactured in a clamshell design allowing for two-piece 180 degree separation. Both sections can be placed on stands and utilized for other range training maximizing your investment. Lastly, the AET will maximize your valuable aerial shooting training time by providing a steel target that will register positive impacts regardless of angle and location thereby increasing shooter confidence with every round fired.
