Designed especially to withstand the power of a .50 caliber round, the MGM .50 cal. Flash Target™ utilizes a 10″ Hexagon target plate cut from extra-beefy 3/4″ thick HEXALLOY 500 plate, then bolted to a high density composite flat bar. The target assembly pivots on a lubrication zerk fitted machined hub and shaft. The whole set up quickly mounts in precision cut brackets and is suspended from 72″ tube steel legs for added height and great stability. The 50 Cal Flash Target is known as the Cadillac of .50 cal targets. Perfect for .338 Lapua as well.
There is a large white polycarbonate card in front, and hiding behind is a smaller fluorescent orange card. When the target is hit, the swinging/pendulum motion of the target rotates the white plastic down and the orange plastic up, so the shooter (and the range officer) get an eye full or ‘flash’ of orange. There is no question about whether or not the target is hit. We’ve also got a smaller version of the Flash Target for “normal guy rounds” if you don’t need the BIG DADDY!! We bought five of these for our carbine and 3 gun matches. These are by far the standard to which all should be measured. Easy setup, flawless functionality and very durable. We’ve had ours for three years now with many errant hits on the legs and they keep on standing. Even one guy’s 8mm and 30-06 didn’t affect the plates. Now we just need more stage ideas!
